Computer Access and Email for USFSP Employees

Campus Computing provides access to office and classroom computers at USFSP with a network domain account, commonly known around campus as a "Bayboro account."

In order to activate a Bayboro domain account, you must complete the requirements below in chronological order. If you have already completed some of the steps, start with the process you need to complete, such as activating your USF NetID. Activating your NetID will also provide you with a USF email account.

For activation of student email and computer lab access accounts, please use the USF NetID Services Web site.

1. Verify your employment.

a. Complete the payroll sign-up process with Human Resources. This can be done on your first day of employment or prior to your first day if needed.
b. Your employment information is then added to GEMS, the Human Resources employment management system.
c. GEMS will generate your employee ID number, which consists of six preceding zeros and five numbers.
d. You will be eligible to purchase a USF ID card within 48 hours of receiving your employee ID number.

2. Get your USFCard.

a. Present your letter of offer to the ID Card Center located on the second floor of the Nelson Poynter Memorial Library.
b. Payment for your USFCard is made at the ID Card Center. The ID Center accepts Visa, Master Card, or e-checks with no exceptions.

3. Activate your USF NetID and email address.

Computers are available for this step in Bayboro Hall 226.

a. Have your USF ID card with you before beginning this process.
b. Sign up at the USF NetID website (http://netid.usf.edu/).
c. Follow the on-screen instructions carefully.
d. The process of activating your NetID will automatically generate an email address for you. This email address will be your netid@mail.usf.edu.

4. Fill out and submit a Bayboro Account Request Form.

After activating your NetID, please fill out and submit a Bayboro Account Request Form. Do not allow anyone to fill out and submit this form on your behalf, except in cases of disability assistance.

After submitting the form, please allow up to 48 hours for the account to be activated. You will be notified when this process is complete through an email confirmation message.

5. Log in to your office computer and email.

To log in to your office computer or a classroom computer, use your new Bayboro domain account at the Windows Logon screen (pictured below). Your username will be identical to your NetID, while your password will be the password you provided on the Account Request Form.
